OTEC was originally created to serve the human resource needs of Ontario’s Tourism and Hospitality Industry and still operates as The Ontario Tourism Education Corporation. OTEC has partnerships with all major tourism associations in the province of Ontario, numerous Destination Marketing Organizations, Chambers of Commerce and BIA’s. We are Ontario’s representative on the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC), the national sector council for tourism and hospitality funded by Human Resources Development Canada, and we are the Certifying body for tourism and hospitality occupations in Ontario.
